Historical advertising and business letter from the Stuttgart-based publisher Greiner & Pfeiffer with eye-catching promotion for the magazine "Der Türmer". The front shows decorative advertising graphics with a group of figures in front of a city view, as well as the title "Der Türmer". Below this, the magazine is promoted as a culturally oriented periodical for public life, art, and science. The promotional text also mentions the subscription price and refers to the publisher Greiner & Pfeiffer in Stuttgart. The letter was addressed to a basket maker in Warmbronn near Leonberg and was indeed sent through the mail. On the back, there is a clear Leonberg arrival stamp.
The envelope is in a clearly used, authentic, "as-found" condition. Visible are edge damage, tears, creases, and fold marks. However, the decorative advertising graphics and the essential postal markings are well preserved – see images.
An interesting collector's item for enthusiasts of historical advertising, publishing history, the magazine industry, graphic design, Stuttgart, and Württemberg postal history.
