Historical military bayonet with a classic Mauser design, likely dating from the first half of the 20th century. The sidearm features a straight, tapering steel blade with fullers on both sides. The grip consists of two wooden scales held in place by two visible metal fittings each. The solid steel pommel has the characteristic mount for attaching it to a rifle. The straight crossguard is designed without a muzzle ring.

The construction shows similarities to European military sidearms of the Mauser systems, particularly the German 84/98 model family. A precise determination of its origin and period of manufacture is not currently possible due to the lack of clearly identifiable manufacturer and acceptance stamps.

The present specimen is in a heavily used condition and is severely corroded due to age. The blade shows large areas of rust scarring, dark oxidation marks, and an uneven surface patina. The crossguard and pommel also show significant signs of corrosion.

The original-looking wooden grip scales are present and show clear signs of use, scratches, discoloration, and minor material damage. The metal fittings are intact.

A matching scabbard is not present. The functionality of the mounting mechanism has not been tested.

A historical military collector's item with pronounced signs of age and use, suitable as an educational object illustrating the development of European military sidearms.
