This is a training and instruction manual for non-commissioned officers of the German Wehrmacht. It was intended to prepare non-commissioned officers to train soldiers and recruits and to conduct instruction. Topics covered include ranks and uniforms, military etiquette and saluting obligations, soldiers' duties, training, and knowledge of weapons. It is therefore less of a tactical combat manual and more of a guide to what a non-commissioned officer should know and pass on to their soldiers.
