Historical military sidearm in the design of a German dress sidearm, presumably from the first half of the 20th century. The bayonet has a straight, single-edged steel blade with a double hollow grind and a pointed tip. At the blade base is a small, decoratively designed maker's mark, which has not yet been conclusively identified.

The black, diamond-patterned grips and the curved crossguard with a backward-curved end are particularly characteristic. The design generally corresponds to the appearance of German dress sidearms, which were worn with military uniforms as private property.

The present specimen is in heavily used, restoration-required condition. The blade shows pronounced signs of corrosion, rust scars, discoloration, as well as visible grinding and working marks. Clear signs of corrosion damage and surface changes are visible on the crossguard and pommel. The grips are present and show age-related signs of wear. The surface finish of the metal parts is largely damaged or has been lost.

A scabbard is not present. The exact manufacturer and original military use have not yet been conclusively determined.
