Issue No. 16 is dedicated to Waffen-SS officer and Knight's Cross recipient Gerd Pleiß (1915–1941), who served as SS-Hauptsturmführer and company commander of the Leibstandarte SS "Adolf Hitler" during the war against the Soviet Union. The contemporary propaganda booklet contains a biographical account of his military career, his awards, and the combat operations in 1941. The text is supplemented by historical black-and-white photographs and a double-page combat drawing by Theo Matejko.

Of particular note are the photographic depiction of the Knight's Cross ceremony conducted by Sepp Dietrich, as well as an illustration featuring congratulations from Heinrich Himmler.

Original stapled miniature booklet with a photographically designed cover. Shows signs of wear and storage related to its age, including browning of the paper, rubbing, creases, and minor damage to the edges of the cover. The staples are intact – see images.

A contemporary historical collectible related to the military history of the Second World War, the history of the Waffen-SS, and the study of National Socialist war propaganda.
