Georg Wolfgang Wedel (1645–1721) was a German physician, chemist, and university professor of the early modern period. He worked as a professor at the University of Jena and was among the significant representatives of iatrochemical medicine, which combined healing arts and chemistry. Wedel authored numerous scientific writings and supervised many dissertations. His works reflect the transition from traditional to modern scientific medicine.
