Historical registered letter from Nuremberg to Switzerland with a particularly decorative multiple franking of Bavarian stamps with "Deutsches Reich" overprint. There are several different denominations on the front, including 5, 10, 15, 30, 40, 50, 60, and 70 pfennigs, which makes the cover particularly philatelically attractive. The stamps were canceled contemporaneously and document the postal transition period following the integration of the Bavarian postal system into the Reichspost. The original "Nuremberg 2 – No. 431" registration label is preserved. The letter was sent to Zollicon near Zurich in Switzerland and bears a clear Swiss arrival stamp on the reverse.

Also of particular interest is the partially preserved official sealing/opening strip on the reverse, the text of which refers to a decree from November 15, 1918. This gives the document additional postal historical significance.

The envelope is in a condition consistent with its age. There are visible signs of folding and edge wear, minor damage, and a partially damaged sealing strip on the back. However, the colorful franking, the registration label, and the postal stamps are well preserved – see photos.
