Historical official service mail and cash-on-delivery letter from the Deutsche Post Osten from the period of the Second World War. Particularly interesting is the combination of several postal features: the envelope bears the clear imprint "DIENSTPOST", the red cash-on-delivery notice, an original registration label from Kattowitz (Upper Silesia) 2, and the large official stamp "The Head of the Deutsche Post Osten" with the national emblem.

A cash-on-delivery amount of 12 Reichsmark 15 Reichspfennig is noted on the document. In addition, there are the markings "POSTSACHE" (Official Mail) and "EINSCHREIBEN" (Registered), making the envelope an interesting example of the official postal traffic of the administration at that time. The document was sent to Vienna and shows a contemporary arrival or processing stamp.

The envelope is in authentic, clearly used condition with signs of usage, including fold marks, creases, edge wear, and age-related paper discoloration – see image. The essential postal features and stamps are well preserved.
