Format: Miniature book, approx. 3.5 × 5 cm

Historical miniature book from the Nazi era, published on the occasion of the first Reich road collection of the 6th Winterhilfswerk on October 15 and 16, 1938. The small booklet is part of the five-part collection series "Der Führer und …" and documents the political encounters between Adolf Hitler and the Italian dictator Benito Mussolini through contemporary black-and-white photographs. The publication deals with the relations between the National Socialist German Reich and fascist Italy. The photographic depictions and accompanying texts illustrate the propagandistic staging of the German-Italian alliance and the two dictators.

The present copy has the original black-and-blue cover with a photographic title image of Hitler and Mussolini. On the back are the imperial eagle and the inscription "Winter-Hilfswerk des Deutschen Volkes". The red carrying cord is still present. Age-related signs of use and storage, slight rubbing and wear on the cover edges, as well as minor creases. The carrying cord shows age-related signs of use – see pictures.

A contemporary historical collectible for the German and Italian history of the 20th century, for the history of the Winterhilfswerk, and for the study of National Socialist image propaganda.
