Language: Latin
Publisher: Rostock, 1625
Very rare early modern Rostock print from 1625 with a direct connection to the history of the University of Rostock. The work contains an extensive collection of scholarly dissertations, academic programs, speeches, and other writings related to the 200th anniversary of the University of Rostock in 1619. The texts included feature academic treatises from various faculties as well as commemorative and doctoral writings. The work thus represents an interesting contemporary document of Rostock's university and scholarly history of the early 17th century. The copy is in a condition consistent with its age. There are spots, edge damage, and cropping in places, as well as signs of wear on the cover and binding.
Upon examination, the text content extends to page 507. As some final pages are cropped at the upper edge and a complete bibliographic collation of the copy has not been carried out, completeness is expressly not guaranteed.
Original historical print, over 400 years old.
An exceptional collector's item for those interested in old prints, university history, Rostock, Mecklenburg, history of science, and historical Latin writings.
