Particularly noteworthy is the elaborately designed header featuring two circular company\/ornamental emblems. The letter provides an interesting insight into the craft of bookbinding and gilding at the beginning of the 20th century. The front bears a red 10-pfennig definitive stamp of the Kingdom of Bavaria, which was cancelled with an Augsburg postmark. The letter was sent from Augsburg to Aue in the Ore Mountains. On the back, there is a clearly legible AUE (SACHSEN) arrival stamp with the year 1906.
